Well, Dragon Boat race came and went and I didn't even get to see it!I was really looking forward to it but when the day actually came-I totally forgot about it. That was a day after my last day at work (before a summer break) and all I wanted to do was to relax. In fact, I didn't realize that I'd missed Dragon Boat race until about 4 days later!Shame but what can you do? I missed it not because I was relaxing so much that my mind wasn't functioning properly,oh no, it was because my mind was and still is very preoccupied with the wedding and, mainly, Honeymoon preparations...
It has been crazy.Picture this, every morning I get up early, even though technically I could stay in bed till midday, sit in front of my computer and, not counting toilet and snack breaks (can't really call it proper eating, sorry mum), I sit there pretty much all day researching, reading, checking and hopefully booking!
It is a very, very time-consuming process that makes my eyes and back hurt but I know it will all be worth it:)
I realize that for some this process is fairly easy and straight forward, they just sit down, have a look on Hotels.com or Booking.com (the sites I use the most, not being paid to endorse them)and within half an hour have at least one hotel booked! Not so complicated, is it? Yet I'm the type that likes to check everything, compare different hotels, read the reviews (Tripadvisor, what would I do without you!), find out about any events, pre-book entry tickets, etc. In one word-I'm organized. My OH finds it hard to believe that I can spend hours on end staring at my Macbook Air and still not achieve anything. Well, believe it hun as it's happened quite a few times.
I dont think it's due to distraction, although the ability to watch Youtube thanks to my VPN is tempting at times. Ok, a lot of the time.
It's more due to my chronic indecisiveness. It is like an illness, it almost hurts-that's how much I struggle to make my mind up. I'll ponder about things for ages in my head, then bombard my OH with questions, then think about it some more and maybe, eventually, make a decision. It's bad.
Anyways, this is my last week of planning as on Sunday my best friend is coming over and the wedding chaos will properly start!
If you want to find out more about my Chinese-European wedding, check my next post:)
